Title: Cost Control for F&B Industry

Course duration: 1.5 days


The workshop will cover practical topics that food operators can implement in their businesses to control their businesses. This will be a one and half day workshop with interactive activities and sharing of knowledge. This course is adapted to the Bruneian food and beverage industry based on food industry specification.


The training objectives are:

  1. Raise awareness of the different elements in cost control in the F&B industry.

  2. Provide practical approaches of cost control to trainees.

  3. Increase the operational standards of food operators in a supervisory or management role.

  4. Enhance the performance measurement capabilities of F&B supervisors and management.


Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the purchasing cycle in an F&B business

  • Explain the inventory control process

  • Perform practical cost reduction procedures

  • Quantify key metrics for control cost in food and beverage production

  • State the importance of standard recipes in cost control

  • Relate Cost Control to Sustainable Development Goals

  • Familiarise with financial statements for F&B businesses

  • Aware of the use of POS system in aiding cost control

The course is aimed at the Supervisor, Manager or Owner of a café, restaurant or food service industry.

ABOUT THE TRAINER | AARON ONG


He had lectured at Laksamana College of Business in Revenue Management, Cost Control for Hospitality Supervisors, Financial Management and Business Decision Making. While reading Economics and Econometrics in York(United Kingdom), he learned the best practices of F&B at multinational Subway as a Sandwich Artist at the Clifford St franchise.



REQUIREMENTS


Laptop,Calculator, Microsoft Excel, Standard Recipes and costing breakdown of one of their food products in paper or digital form.
