Executive Officer, International Research and Cooperation – 1 position


Role holder will be responsible in assisting to manage regional and bilateral cooperation activities and provide strategic/substance input on matters requiring country position and decision, and to assist in coordinating activities (meetings, conferences, programs, projects initiatives etc.) initiated under regional and bilateral cooperation.


Roles and Responsibilities:

To support the overall planning and implementation of IRC’s activities, including, but not limited to:

  • To assist on substance preparation for yearly/semi-annually regional cooperation meetings attended by DARe delegation, including logistical preparation as a host country.

  • To provide strategic/substance inputs on proposed international/bilateral cooperation and coordinate activities as per agreed scope of cooperation.

  • To coordinate MSME development programmes initiated through regional and international cooperation and ensure objectives are aligned to national and organisational desired outcomes.

  • To maintain a database of regional and country bilateral cooperation record of activities for references.

  • To be the organisation’s focal point for communication with international counterparts for sharing of information and best practices as well as to maintain good relations.

  • To coordinate research activities by facilitating access to relevant data and information, analysis, reporting, publication and dissemination.

  • To build potential collaboration with relevant stakeholders for implementation of regional and international programmes.

Key Requirements:

  • Holds a Degree in the field of International Relations or related from a reputable institution.

  • Data analysis skills to organize, track and synthesise documentation.

  • Good communication skills i.e. must be able to present and relay information effectively to stakeholders.

  • Interest in public policy and business development would be an advantage.

  • Enthusiastic in learning new things and dependable to conduct own research

  • Creative in providing innovative solutions and ideas on implementation

  • Good organisational, resource-management, and time-management skills required

  • Good team player and able to work with minimal supervision

  • Must have a driver’s license and own transportation
