DARe (Darussalam Enterprise) is a Statutory Body that aims to nurture and support local enterprises from start-up to growth. DARe works closely with government and non-government agencies locally and abroad to foster the growth of business enterprises. Through DARe, a common and unified approach is taken to direct, support and encourage growth of local enterprises under a single body represented and driven by the private sector.

We are seeking highly motivated, proactive and qualified individuals to join our team.  Applications are invited for the following position:

International Relations and Cooperation Officer, Business Development & Support – 1 position

Role holder will be responsible in supporting the team in managing the delivery of regional and bilateral cooperation activities at national level, write report on the outcomes of the programmes, and to assist in coordinating activities (meetings, conferences, programs, projects initiatives etc.) initiated under regional and bilateral cooperation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

To support the overall planning and implementation of IRC’s activities, including, but not limited to:

1. Regional and international MSME development programme coordination

  • Assist and take ownership in coordinating the delivery of MSME development programmes initiated through regional and international cooperation.


2. Stakeholders management

  • Build potential collaboration with local key stakeholders for the implementation of regional and international programmes at national level.

  • Build good relationship and maintain rapport with key stakeholders and relevant counterparts for the purpose of sharing of information and preparing reports.


3. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Write reports on the outcome of the said programmes and ensure the objectives are aligned to national and organisational desired outcomes.

  • Maintain a database of publications by international organisations, and regional and country bilateral cooperation record of activities for the purpose of tracking the progress of activities.

  • Assist on substance report on international/bilateral cooperation to prepare for yearly/semi-annually regional cooperation meetings attended by DARe delegation, and to provide robust support in coordinating the logistical preparation for the delegation.


4. Team support

  • Support in regional/international meetings and related events as and whenever required.

  • Carry out other duties as reasonably requested from management.

  • Undertake general office tasks when necessary.

Key Requirements:

  • Holds a Bachelor Degree related to the field of international affairs, business/stakeholder management and/or project management or equivalent.

  • Interest in public / regional / international policies, and business development would be an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and writing skills.

  • Aptitude for fostering positive relationships.

  • Experience in customer service is preferred.

  • Enthusiastic in learning new things and dependable to conduct own research.

  • Creative in providing innovative solutions and ideas on implementation.

  • Good organisational, resource-management, time-management and analytical skills.

  • Good team player and able to work independently.
